Board Member Stacey K to escort remains of WWII hero
We are so proud of our Board Member Stacey K! One of her collateral duties in the Navy is Casualty Assistance Calls Officer and she got an opportunity to escort the remains of Sailor who lost his life when the USS Oklahoma was bombed in Pearl Harbor during World War Two. His surviving family members live here in Oklahoma near NOSC Tulsa, The repatriation event and burial services will be at the National Memorial of the Pacific in Honolulu, HI. She will be flying with the remains from Omaha, NE to Honolulu, HI this Saturday.
This is the Navy uniform she will deliver in Omaha for F1c Geller to wear. His medals and ribbons are the following: Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, American Defense Service Ribbon with bronze star, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Ribbon with a bronze star and World War Two victory ribbon.
